About
For as long as he can remember, Jay has had a desire to work in journalism. It began early on at a young age while growing up in South Boston, reading the sports section from his Dad's copies of the Globe and Herald. Years later, he attended Merrimack College to pursue a career working in the news industry.
Now, Jay is an industry veteran who has been fortunate to work in various roles in newsrooms across New England, including NBC Sports Boston, WHDH-TV in Boston, and most recently, WFSB-TV in Hartford, where he served as a Digital Content Producer.
In his most recent role at WFSB-TV, he was the weekday Mornings assignment desk editor, in charge of crew assignments and responding to breaking news while managing the station’s digital presence and social media pages. Other responsibilities included hosting editorial and planning meetings, in addition to writing and publishing breaking news online.
As of Late November 2024, Jay is currently seeking new opportunities, whether it's in or outside the news industry.

During his time in college, Jay was a student-athlete and played football at Merrimack College and Towson University. Before that, he completed a post-graduate year at Bridgton Academy in Maine after graduating from Matignon High School in Cambridge, MA.
